Navigation corner:
The classic drawings of the Van de Stadt 44 has a navigation corner where sitting is not possible. When we bought Yndeleau we had the classic design. Some owners created an extra seat but we have decided to totally redesign the navigation corner so we can sit stable and tight with heavy weather. At the same time we redid all electrics and the whole switchboard to bring order in the chaos “behind the scene” and create saver situation.
Galley/Kitchen:
We renewed the countertop with HiMacs. A solid surface material, a plastic that is workable like hard wood but also bends when you heat it up. We have putted it in the oven to create the nice shapes. When the old countertop was off it created a good opportunity to renew the fridge and repaint the walls as well.
Floor, bilges and watertanks:
We renewed all the old floorplates and topped it with fake teak-striped HPL plates from Bootvloeren.nlp. Creating a great result again isn’t it? All the bilges has been repainted and the watertanks re-cemented.
In the Netherlands the watertanks of all professional workships are being cemented. Better than chemicals and it also filters the water. Easy, perfect against the rust and the water still tastes amazing!
